Health As Number One to a Healthy Mind

An observable isse in the lebanese news nowadays is the selling of unacceptable food, that passes the expiry date, so i found it's important to highlight the health for a healthy life.

An arab proverb says that the healthy brain is in the healthy body.
If you want to protect your brain, you might as well protect the rest of your body, so here is the point!
What to do, how to save both is an important point to work on through differnt ways, in school through hidden curriculum or directly in the science classes or at home by the involvement of parents in the process. Knowing that both plays an important role in educating the individuals and preparing their healthy minds.
Many ways helps  maintaining both, including:
- exercises
- low calories diets
- fruits and vegetables
- it's important to stop smoking and to avoid drinking
It's not hard to live in such a healthy state, through the will and the courage, for sure gaining both the brain and the health will be on the benefit of the human, so the key to u're success and improvement is between u're hands so hurry up before time passes.

  1. Regarding the low calories diets I may oppose your thought that these diets may make human bodies healthier. We have to keep in mind that these diets may lack the recommended daily requirements as vitamins, amino acids, traces elements and carbohydrates which are essential for body growth and health. Also we have to pay attention to the consequences resulting from such diets as Gallstone formation due to concentrated bile fluid and constipation that depends on the fiber content of the diet.

  2. for sure these diets must be studied in a perfect manner, coz any simple mistake may lead to a variety of unwanted consequences. A point to add is that following a certain diet, must be followed by a nutritionist that can guide every step and balance the body needs.

  3. This is a very important topic Mouniba especially that the percentage of obesity is increasing due to the lack of knowledge concerning the diet and healthy food. Smoking is a very important factor as well because it affects not only the health of the smoker, but those around him too.

  4. It is very true that a peaceful life needs a healthy body. And we all do care about it but some remember that when it is to late.
personally i love eating but i can control the way I eat.
As for what Omar said he is true regarding people who make their own diet without asking a dietician, but nowadays most people try to do so and by that people would know what things they have to eat in a way that gives them all the essential nutrients for the body.

  7. I think we should focus in schools on being healthy, and eating nutritional foods. We should not focus on " low calorie diets". Students see these everywhere but we should teach them, that it is not the quantity that we eat, but it is the quality. And as Omar said, low calorie diets do have bad consequences. But schools should focus on exercising, first it will burn the calories, then also it strengthens the muscles...

I like Nour's quote :) It is very true, you don't know what you have, until it is gone... This include health... And our health is the most important thing, more than anything else!

    1. thanks Noor for this important point. Yes it's really efficient to emphasize on this topic at school, and to ensure selling in the cafeterias only healthy food. By that i am sure that students will be more healthy and this will reflect on their eating styles everywhere.
